We recently stayed at Plateau Lodge for 5 days and had a fantastic time. The location was perfect, with easy access to the ski fields and Ski Bizz for gear hire. The drying room for our ski gear was a huge bonus. We loved the layout of the room, with the kids having their own separate space, and the kitchen was well-equipped. It really felt like we were staying in our own apartment. The hot tub and guest laundry were great amenities to have. we absolutely loved our stay at Plateau Lodge and would highly recommend it to others.
Can recommend this hotel.

I was really disapointed that the hot tub wasnt working as thats one of the main reasons i booked this particular place and needed it after a long day snowboarding.

Clean and well-maintained facilities. Spacious common areas and well-provided kitchen. Helpful and amazing staff. Loads of information about things to do. Super comfortable 2 bedroom unit. Quick and efficient response from reception. Toasty warm room upon arrival. Good value for money and convenient location
Nothing at all.

They are aimed at travelers hiking or skiing the local mountains, with a variety of room types for many budgets. The bedrooms were clean and simply furnished, while more emphasis was placed on the shared kitchen, living room, dining room, and spa. These more public places are where you meet the people who have similar plans, and often decide to join together. For a little extra you can rent mountain sports gear, get a ride to the mountain, or wash your clothes when you get back. Limited free WiFi, good value on room cost.

We had a cozy stay in a smaller ensuite room. The location was perfect for exploring Tongariro National Park and the nearby Tama Lake. The breakfast/lunch cafe behind the gas station was a great find for early risers like us. Despite a slightly chilly bathroom and okay heater, we would definitely return if we're back in the area. I highly recommend this hotel for its location and enjoyable stay.

We had a warm and comfortable room during our stay at Plateau Lodge. The bathroom was clean and stocked with plenty of towels, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast and lunch pack provided great value for our Tongariro Crossing hike. We also enjoyed the powerful water pressure in the shower and the amazing spa to relax in after our long walk. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a cozy and enjoyable stay.

Had an amazing Xmas stay! The staff were super friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. The rooms were clean and well-equipped, and we even got an upgrade to a spacious apartment. The location was perfect, with beautiful scenic views and convenient access to short walks. We also loved the nearby supermarket, which made it easy to buy food for our evening meals. Plus, the daily room service was a nice touch.
There were a few downsides. The cleanliness and maintenance could have been improved, as some of the kitchen items were dirty and the frying pan had a broken handle.

Great service, a big kitchen with dinig room. Big rooms where to stay near the rooms that are comfortable and warm. Free spa and wifi provided a very great experience. The view is also stunning!

The staff were helpful and checked us in with no hassle even though the reception was closed by the time we arrived and we didn't call ahead to inform them we were late. Zeus also helped us with things to do. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which sleeps 7, including sofa bed. There were only 6 of us though so that was fine. But four did have to sleep in one room so the couple among us were likely not too happy with the lack of privacy. Apartment was very clean and looked very new, but only bathroom/toilet. Also had a hot water spa, which you can book for free for 30 minutes. Fits 4 people. Very nice setting, about 10-15 minutes drive to Whakapapa Village where all the walks, including the Tongariro Alpine Crossing starts.
Only one bathroom/toilet for an apartment that could fit up to 7 people.

Great value for money, the room was clean, warm, and comfortable. The location was fantastic and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay at Plateau Lodge.
Just wished there were more options for breakfast, especially for preparing hot tea before bed.

The Lodge owners were very helpful. They made excellent recommendations for dinner. They organised for us to have time in the private spa, which was lovely after a day on the slopes. The rooms were clean and great value for money.
The bed was a bit hard and the walls a bit thin for complete privacy.
